# How to Integrate Popupsmart with Mailchimp?

Popupsmart provides seamless integration with the Mailchimp email marketing service provider. You can connect your Mailchimp account with Popupsmart in just a few minutes following the steps below.

Step 1: log in to your MailChimp account.


Step 2: Click on your profile at the bottom of the left-side menu and select Account.


Step 3: Then, click on the Extras tab and navigate to API Keys.


Step 4: Next, click on the Create A Key button to create a new API key.


Step 5: Log into your Popupsmart dashboard on a new tab. Open the builder screen of the campaign you want to integrate with MailChimp or create a new campaign.

  • Once your popup design and targeting settings are complete, proceed to the Publish tab and click on Integrations.

Important: The Integrations option on the Publish tab will be gray and unclickable if you haven’t verified your website yet. (See how to verify your website.)

  • Select MailChimp from the integrations section and click Connect.


Step 6: Fill in the required data on the opening modal.

  • Turn the Status toggle on.
  • Enter a name for this Popupsmart-MailChimp integration.
  • Go back to your MailChimp tab on your browser and copy-paste the created API key in the API field on the modal as seen below. Note that your MailChimp API key status must be on.


  • In the List dropdown menu, select the mailing list you will add the form submitters.
  • Lastly, select the matching field name on your popup. In this case, it is the field where visitors will enter their email addresses.
  • Click the Save&Close button before closing the modal.

Step 7: Save your popup to publish later, schedule, or Save & Publish to set it live right now.

Pro Tip: You can use a success popup that’ll show after a visitor submits the form or set an autoresponder email that verifies the successful submission
