Stop Cart Abandonment & Double Engagement with a Giveaway Popup
Are you tired of cart abandoners? You receive tons of traffic to your product page, and they never convert, right? We offer you a solution that is easy and effective in stopping cart abandonment.
Assuming you are an e-retail store; selling sweatshirts and hoodies. You want to make sure if they are visiting your site and viewing your products, they convert.
You can use giveaway popups to convert more visitors into customers, and you'll see a noticeable boost in sales for your online business. E-commerce sites often use them but they can be adapted to any website with a lead generation goal in mind.
Step 1: Create a Popupsmart account if you haven't already, and log in.
Step 2: After you create your account, you will be directed to our dashboard. Select "New Campaign" to build your popup campaign.
Step 3: Select among our customizable popup templates. Customize your popup based on your needs.
You can also select a blank popup template to build your campaign from scratch.
Step 4: After you finish your adjustments, click the button element to give it a target URL.
Select "Go to the URL address" under the "Action" section.
You can enter the address you want your visitors to go to in the "URL Address" part. It can be the checkout page since you don't want them to leave their cart.
Step 5: Now, we need to decide when we want to show our popup. Go to the "Segment" step, edit your segment, and select "URL Browsing" on the "Audience" part.
We need to show our popup to visitors on their carts and on our products page. After you've selected URL Browsing, you can put the necessary URLs on the "Advanced Configurations" part, as shown above.
Step 6: Click "After X Seconds" on "User Behavior" and select 5 seconds to show the popup.
We also want to make sure they spend some time on the website. Choosing this targeting solution will allow you to display a popup 5 seconds after people visit your site.
Step 7: You are all set! After they checkout, you can add their names or emails to your giveaway list.
Save and publish your popup when you finish customizing it, and enjoy getting more conversions!
Hopefully, these tips will convince you to try a few techniques to see which ones work best. The most important thing, though, is to test different ideas until you have found one that's appealing to your business and enough of a differentiating factor from competitors.
There's no sense in taking the time to design an elegant popup if it's not going to convert well. Moreover, keep testing and measuring results after launch -- what works today might not tomorrow.
