Connect Popupsmart with Salesforce to automatically send popup submissions to your Salesforce CRM as Leads or Contacts.
Every visitor who fills out your popup form can land in Salesforce as a new record, so your sales team can follow up without any manual data entry.
Prerequisites
- A Salesforce account with Administrator permissions.
- Permission to install Salesforce packages.
- Access to create and manage Connected Apps.
How to Connect Salesforce
Open Integrations
Open your popup, go to the Publish step, and expand the Integrations section. Then click Add integration.

Select Salesforce
From the available integrations, select Salesforce.
Install the Popupsmart Salesforce Package
On the Setup tab, click Install the package. You'll be redirected to Salesforce.
The Salesforce package only needs to be installed once for your Salesforce organization.

Install the Package in Salesforce
On the Salesforce installation page, select Install for All Users, accept the installation acknowledgement, and click Install.

Note
Installing the package requires Salesforce Administrator permissions.
Create a Salesforce API Connection
Return to Popupsmart after the installation and click Add new Salesforce API.

Authorize Popupsmart
You'll be redirected to Salesforce for authorization. Review the requested permissions and click Allow.

Popupsmart will now be able to securely communicate with your Salesforce account.
Select the Salesforce API
After authorization, choose your Salesforce API from the Select API dropdown and click Next.
Configure the Integration
Choose the Salesforce Object
On the Details tab, select where Popupsmart should create records. You can choose between Lead and Contact.

Match Fields
On the Match fields tab, map your popup fields to Salesforce properties.
For example:
| Popupsmart Field | Salesforce Property |
|---|---|
| Name | First Name |
| Last Name | Last Name |
| Phone | Phone |
For each row, pick a Data Source — a Form Field is data your visitor types into the popup, while a System Field is data Popupsmart collects automatically, such as location and city.
You can add additional mappings by clicking Add matching.

Test the Connection
Before saving your configuration, click Test Connection. Popupsmart will verify that:
- Authentication is valid.
- Salesforce is reachable.
- Field mappings are configured correctly.
If the test succeeds, click Save.
Enable the Integration
Once saved, Salesforce will appear under Integrations with the Connected status.
You can enable or disable the integration anytime using the toggle, and you can edit the configuration later by clicking the edit icon.

How It Works
When a visitor submits your popup:
- Popupsmart captures the submitted information.
- The mapped fields are sent to Salesforce.
- A new Lead or Contact is created automatically.
Only the fields you map are transferred to Salesforce.
