How Affiliates Get Paid: Commission Rates, Payment Methods, and Payout Schedule

This article explains how affiliate payments work, including commission rates, available payment methods, payout timing, and where you can track your rewards inside the Popupsmart dashboard.

Commission Rates Explained

As a Popupsmart affiliate, you earn:

  • 30% lifetime recurring commission
  • Commission is earned for every paid subscription you refer
  • Commissions continue as long as the referred customer stays subscribed

There is no earning limit. Your revenue grows as you refer more paying customers.

Referral Rewards and Discounts

When you successfully refer a customer:

  • You earn 30% recurring commission
  • Your referral receives 50% off for their first 3 months
  • This discount helps increase conversions and makes Popupsmart easier to promote

You can actively highlight this offer when sharing your affiliate link.

How and Where Affiliate Rewards Are Tracked

All affiliate rewards and activity are tracked inside your Popupsmart account.

In your dashboard, you can access the affiliate section where you’ll see:

  • Your unique affiliate link
  • A Rewards area
  • Number of times your link was viewed
  • Which users signed up through your link
  • Which referrals became paid customers
  • Your earned commissions

You can access this section by clicking:

  • Affiliate Program from your profile
  • The “Earn $2000 Rewards” message
  • The gift box icon on the dashboard

All reward and referral data is visible in real time.

How Affiliate Payments Work

Once you earn a reward from a qualified referral:

  • Your commission is recorded automatically
  • Payments are processed within a few days after the reward is earned
  • You do not need to request payouts manually

Affiliate payments are handled smoothly to avoid unnecessary delays.

Payment Methods Available

Popupsmart currently supports the following payout methods:

  • PayPal (available worldwide)
  • Venmo (available for affiliates based in the United States)

You can add and manage your payment details from your affiliate or partner settings.

When Do Affiliates Get Paid?

  • After a referral becomes a paid customer, your reward is confirmed
  • Payments are typically sent within a few days
  • Timing may vary slightly based on payment method and verification status

Recurring commissions continue to be paid as long as the subscription remains active.

Partner Portal & Referral Visibility (Powered by Cello)

Popupsmart provides affiliates access to a Partner Portal (Cello).

Through this portal:

  • You receive an invite email after being added as a partner
  • You complete a quick signup process
  • You gain access to your own partner dashboard
  • You receive your personal sharing link
  • You can monitor your referrals and rewards

Partners see a dashboard similar to the main one, but only their own referral data is visible.

This ensures transparency while keeping all partner data private.

Notifications About Referrals and Rewards

Throughout the referral journey, Popupsmart sends notification emails related to:

  • Referral signups
  • Reward-related events
  • Partner program updates

These notifications help you stay informed without needing to constantly check the dashboard.

Important Notes About Payments

  • Only new customers are eligible for affiliate commissions
  • Commissions are based on successful paid subscriptions
  • Fraudulent or misleading activity may result in withheld payouts
  • Payment delays may occur in rare cases due to verification or chargebacks
