You can increase your popup impressions’ effectiveness with audience targeting.
To indicate the characteristics of your target audience, go to the ‘Target Audience’ section under the Display tab located in the popup builder.
Here is how you can specify target audiences to show popups to.
Determine which operation system’s users best fit your target audience.
Choose between the options of Windows, MacOS, Linux, and Chromium.
You may also select more than one operating system if you do not want to segment your audience based on the operating system they use.
Customer retention strategies and customer acquisition strategies changes based on their browsers’ behavior.
For instance, you need to attract the attention of new visitors, while you offering something valuable to returning customers to convince them to take the desired actions.
With this targeting option, determine which type of customer behavior, new visit, or returning visitors, will trigger your popup.
You can target both types of customers at once, as well.
Determine which browser language you want your visitors to have to display your popup to.
You can easily add more than one language by selecting the languages from the list. In case you do not want to choose a language, your popup will be visible to all visitors using their browsers in different languages.
Determine from which traffic source your visitors should come from to see your popup campaign.
You can basically click on the add button and segment your customers according to the traffic source like social media channels, search engines, referral domains, and so on.
Include people from a domain name such as example.com, which you want to show your popup campaign to.
Furthermore, you can exclude visitors from sources that you do not want to display your popup to.
To remove a traffic source from the list, click the ‘Delete’ button, which appears on the left side of the related row.
Determine the places that you want your visitors to live in to show your popup campaign to.
You can simply select a new location by clicking on the ‘Add New Location’ button to carry out a geographic targeting strategy.
To remove a location from the list, click the ‘Delete’ button, which appears on the left side of the related row.
Firstly, select a country for the left box, then, choose a city for the right box from the list that appears when you click on the arrows or boxes.
After you make the necessary changes for the Target Audience section, do not forget to save it from the ‘Save’ option in the upper navigation bar.
